Tom Paradise, Digital Marketing Coordinator, has been described as compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated. These qualities, coupled with a positive presence, have earned Tom the recognition as Wilsonville Office Employee of the Quarter for Q2, 2022.
The past quarter has seen no shortage of activity within the Marketing Department: being shorthanded before bringing in a new team member. Through it all, Tom has risen to meet the challenges.
“Tom has not only performed his job admirably, during the past few months when the department was down a team member, he jumped in to perform some of the tasks that had been performed.” noted one department head. “Tom has worked with several Department Heads to assist with the contributions that they make in providing content for the newsletter or the blog.”
Earlier this quarter, Tom spearheaded gathering input from multiple members of the Houston’s team to write a blog post to acknowledge International Women’s Day. This received several compliments from Houston’s team members as well as external readers to include Esther Houston’s granddaughter and a candidate for an open position.
“Tom does an excellent job in his job itself and has a great attitude. Tom is prompt and clear with incredible follow up skills. He also seems to love his job which makes me like my job more,” another nominator said.
“I see the work, attention to detail, promptness and follow up he applies to these tasks and it’s very impressive,” another added.
Not only does Tom embody the Houston’s core values, but he also routinely works to find new ways to share them with teammates and other members of the Houston’s family. He has been recognized for his efforts to create connections handwriting thank you notes to those that he has worked with. He also displays a growth mindset which aligns with identifying challenges as opportunities for growth and is passionately curious in seeking those opportunities.

Outside of work, Tom and his wife Melissa are spending time on their new house, making it their own. Tom plays guitar and loves to listen to music.
