For 15 years, Jubenal Romero has had an impactful presence as a member of the Wilsonville Warehouse Team. He is a hard worker, willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. By exemplifying these qualities and others, Jubenal has earned recognition as March Employee of the Month.
Joining Houston’s in the summer of 2007, Jubenal has become very familiar and knowledgeable about products Houston’s carries, and how they are sold. Using his experience as a key advantage, Jubenal maintains a sharp eye for accuracy, and takes responsibility for correcting anything out of place.
“He spots mistakes in the warehouse from someone pulling the wrong selling unit or maybe the product was put in the wrong location,” said Melvin Swartz, Weekend Supervisor. “When he finds them, he brings them to the attention of his supervisor.”
Jubenal is a 5-star employee on the SPARQ wall for the month of February. SPARQ represents Safety, Productivity, Attendance, Responsibility, and Quality.
When pulling orders, he strives to ensure pallets are assembled securely, so they can arrive to the customer without damage. Jubenal also remains highly productive while maintaining a safe work environment. For February, he picked an average of 170 units per hour over the course of the month, which was No. 1 in Wilsonville.
Jubenal achieved a 5-star attendance rating for the month, as well.
In terms of responsibility, Jubenal steps in whenever asked or needed to help with other tasks. As a versatile member of the team, he also does receiving and PTT. He had a great month of quality work, too: Jubenal picked 15,114 units without a single error, which ranked No. 3 for the entire company, both Wilsonville and KC together.
Outside of work, Jubenal enjoys doing projects around his home and is a fan of both soccer and baseball.
Congratulations, Jubenal – this recognition is well deserved!
