Though he’s only been a Houston’s employee for a short time so far, Shane Putnam has displayed teamwork, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn. These factors and more have earned Shane the recognition as Employee of the Month for November.

Shane started with Houston’s in June of 2021, pulling orders and loading trucks. He has also grown to help cover on the Receiving side, as well.

In the view of Weekend Supervisor Melvin Swartz, the most valuable attribute Shane brings to the team is his willingness to learn.

“Shane has a thirst for learning new things, either on his crew or in other parts of the warehouse,” Melvin said.

“He has learned order pulling for CHEF’STOREs to general customer orders including some separation orders. He has worked with Receiving, and is good at loading trucks in a timely manner.”

It has been noted that he’s a good team player, displaying adaptability and a positive attitude, even among dynamically changing circumstances. Shane does what is needed for the benefit of the team, and for Houston’s as a company overall.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys video gaming, and has been known to catch Pokémon on his lunch break. Congratulations, Shane – this recognition is well-deserved!
