Julio Gutierrez, PDX Employee of the Month (July)

Julio Gutierrez flies around Houston’s Wilsonville facility, often under the radar due to his quiet nature, taking care of the day-to-day maintenance and repairs within our Wilsonville facility. Working as part of Houston’s maintenance team since July 2001, Julio is now our Maintenance Lead and enjoys his job because he gets to do a little bit of everything. His favorite part of his job is working outside – mowing the grass, trimming the bushes, painting, and more.

Julio takes pride in his work and ensuring that Houston’s functions properly from a maintenance perspective. According to Phil Moullet, Maintenance Supervisor, “He’s always, always busy. He’ll always find something that needs to be done around the building, or someone to help.”

Even when he’s not at work, Julio enjoys spending time outside and he hasn’t let the unrelenting hot weather prevent him from enjoying these summer months. He recently went on vacation to Seattle, Washington with his family. His most memorable moments were swimming in the cool waters of Puget Sound during the hot days.

Julio’s hard work and dedication is unwavering, and has earned him Employee of the Month honors for July 2017. “Julio is ridiculously reliable and always willing to tackle any challenge. I know I can count on him for anything,” says Phil.
