Brian Bailey, KC Employee of the Month (July)

Bryan Bailey prefers to stay busy, and in doing so has earned himself Employee of the Month honors for July 2017. Bryan joined Houston’s at our Kansas City facility in August of 2016 after unexpected circumstances  prevented him from finishing his pursuit of an Aerospace Engineering degree.

Having previously been a member of the Army National Guard, Bryan’s work ethic is top-notch.

“Bryan is a man of few words, but full of action. He pretty much stays to himself, but is the first to arrive when help is needed,” says Swing Shift Supervisor, Brenda Willett.

While his primary function is reach truck – putting inventory away in the higher racks, getting hot-list items, and stocking product – Bryan is also willing to load trucks, and pick or audit orders, if that’s what needs to get done.

What you may not know about Bryan is that he’s very smart. Smart to the point that Brenda says, “He is pretty hard to beat,” during their weekly trivia sessions. Bryan attributes his vast knowledge to the amount of time he spends reading and researching information on the computer.

As a quieter individual, Bryan tends to keep to himself even outside of work. He enjoys playing computer games, reading, and continuing to expand his knowledge in his spare time.
