Joline Stolberg, Employee of the Month – Feb. 2018
Juline Stolberg hasn’t been with Houston’s very long, but she’s already made herself a very valuable member of the Kansas City Warehouse team. She started with the team last June, as a Material Handler, where her attention to detail is a critical asset.
Her work in receiving and auditing customer orders to ensure that they are correct has had a significant impact on the number of errors that have been seen from the Kansas City warehouse. We’ve seen a big decrease in those issues and we thank her and the rest of the team for their tireless efforts to achieve our goals. Catching such errors will be an ongoing project, so we’re very glad to have Juline here to assist with that task.
According to Robert Jones, “In addition to being very precise and careful in her work, Juline is also an outgoing and friendly teammate. She is a member of not only the Kansas City Team’s Culture Club, but she’s also on the Safety Committee. Her inclusion in both programs goes along with her desire to support her fellow employees and the overarching goals of the business.”
While Juline is currently in Kansas City, she was actually born in Klamath Falls, Oregon (southern Oregon). Her Dad was serving in the US Air Force and not long after she was born, he was sent overseas to Japan. He was able to bring his family with him, so at the age of 4, she got a lot of attention being a little blonde-haired American girl speaking fluent Japanese. As such things happen, though, she has since forgotten much of the language. While her Dad served in the airforce, Japan was just one of the many interesting places she lived. Ask her about the other exciting places she saw while growing up, sometime.
She is also a “total animal lover” and has worked with rescue animals for years. She likes being able to see the difference she can make in their lives and help them recover from wherever they came from.
Juline is also an avid reader. Most days, she can be seen reading on her breaks and at lunch – never wanting to lose a moment to turn the page again. She’s good at balancing her indoor activities with her outdoor, though. She and her boyfriend love to go out on adventures: walking the trails to see where they will go.
All in all, we are very grateful to have Juline as a member of the Kansas City team. She is a wonderful choice for February’s Employee of the Month and we look forward to celebrating her 1st Year Anniversary with Houston’s, in June.
