Cliff Hill, Employee of the Month: January 2018

As a day shift reach truck operator in Kansas City, Cliff Hill spends most of his time pulling product out of overflow and placing it in various pick locations. He also helps on the receiving side of operations by breaking down pallets of incoming products, separating and putting items away in their designated spots.

Cliff likes the fast pace and variety of work at Houston’s. By staying busy all the time, the day seems to go by very fast. Between Receiving product, working hot lists, and putting away product – every day is different. Cliff also enjoys the atmosphere, and the feeling of teamwork that is shared amongst everyone. People take a genuine interest in each other and want to see that everyone succeeds, which he finds refreshing.

Cliff enjoys spending his free time with his fiancé. They have been engaged for the past four years, with no immediate plans for a wedding. When Cliff is not at home, he also enjoys spending a lot of time with his family, including: his mother, three sisters, half-brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family gets together regularly for Sunday dinner or barbecues.

Having started with Houston’s in April 2017, Cliff has been with us for nearly a year, and is making his mark, earning Employee of Month honors for January 2018.

“Cliff is well deserving of this honor. He performs a very important role in the warehouse by helping to make sure hot lists are quickly attended to, so that pick locations remain stocked. He also works very hard to put away product into over-flow,” says Kansas City Warehouse Manager, Robert Jones, “You should see him on transfer days. Just stay out of his way because he keeps busy.”
