Jose Vasquez, May 2017 Portland Employee of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Jose Vasquez, Portland Employee of the Month for May! Jose works as an Order Picker in the warehouse and has been a part of the Houston’s team since August 2013. What he likes most about Houston’s is working with such great people and having a nice place to come to work. One of his favorite things about his job is having great supervisors. He says that he enjoys working for Greg Jones and Angie Buffetta because they really make the warehouse a great working environment.

Angie added, “Jose is one of our best order pulling guys, he is always asked to do the training with new people on order pulling, as well as truck loading. He is always willing to come in early and stay late when we are busy. He comes in on weekends to help pull transfer, or when the weekend Supervisor is down a guy Jose will come in and work to help out that shift. He is a very hard worker and an excellent team player.”

When away from work Jose likes getting outdoors and enjoying the beautiful scenery Oregon has to offer. He loves to spend time at the beach with his family and to go to the river for swimming on a nice day, particularly up at North Fork Park in Oregon. It’s a fun place to getaway and enjoy a nice swimming hole with sandy beaches. When he’s not enjoying the outdoors, he also enjoys watching sports and eating delicious seafood!
